COVID 19 - ACTIVE MEASURES

In accordance with current epidemiological situation with COVID-19, here you can find news and information about current measures and reccomendations from Institute for Public Health of Croatia and National Civil Protection headquarter.

COVID 19 - ACTIVE MEASURES

 

1. Institute for Public Health has announced on Wednesday 18th March 2020 launch of the new call center where all intersted public can get information about COVID-19; the number is 113. Epidemiologists and experts will be available from 7 am to 22 PM each day for all questions.

2. All information in one place are available at webpage www.koronavirus.hr

3. All foreign citizens coming to Croatia from these areas: China (Hubei), Italy, Germany (Heisenberg county), Korea (city Daegu and province Cheongdo) and Iran will be informed about measure of obligatory carantene for 14 days, and all Croatian citizens will get the legal Resolution on obligation for home carantene/isolation for 14 days

4. It is highly reccomended not to travel to foreign countries

5. In accordance to National Civil Protection headquarter decision, these obligatory measures are put in practice:

- until 14th April all shopping malls must follow antiepidemic measures including limiting the number of people at the mall at the same time, labeling the obligatory distance of 1,5 meter in front of the cash register, increase the number of cash registers and working time limited until 18.00 h

- smaller size shops with food, as well as the stores at gass stations can also work no longer that 18.00 h

- all restaurants will be closed, except food delivery and public kitchen

- services that include close contact – hairdressing salons, pedicure salons etc. are closed untill 14th April 2020

 

RECCOMENDED MEASURES OF PROTECTION:

- wash your hands regularly with soap and water OR use an alcohol-based disinfectant

- when coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or tissue paper that you later discard into the trash can and wash your hands

- avoid touching your face, mouth, nose and eyes

- avoid close contact with sick people who exhibit symptopms of fever, cough and/or shortness of breath

- avoid handshaking and close conversation - maintan a distance of at least 1 m

- keep the rooms ventilated and try to spend as much time as possible out in the open

- avoid large groups of people and public gatherings
